côte&ciel Featured in JOE CHIA’s Runway Showcase at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Kuala Lumpur 2026

Parisian design house côte&ciel was featured within acclaimed Malaysian designer JOE CHIA’s runway showcase at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Kuala Lumpur (MBFWKL) 2026, bringing together two distinct perspectives on modern minimalism, structural design and contemporary functionality.

Held on 23 August, the showcase explored the relationship between fashion, movement and functional design, with selected côte&ciel carrying pieces styled alongside JOE CHIA’s collection. The pairing highlighted how architectural accessories can become a natural extension of fashion, complementing the collection’s fluid silhouettes and understated aesthetic.

Where Fashion Meets Function

Known for his wearable avant-garde approach, JOE CHIA creates pieces designed to move naturally with the wearer and adapt to everyday life. This philosophy aligns closely with côte&ciel’s approach to carrying goods, where functionality is shaped through sculptural forms, considered proportions and refined construction.

For the MBFWKL 2026 runway, selected côte&ciel pieces were styled alongside JOE CHIA’s collection, highlighting how carrying goods can become an integral part of a complete fashion look rather than simply an accessory.

The runway feature brought together:

  • Architectural forms that complemented the collection’s understated silhouettes and proportions.
  • Functional design that integrated practical storage with sculptural construction.
  • Refined materials and detailing reflecting a shared emphasis on quality, longevity and understated branding.

Together, the pieces demonstrated how carrying goods can move beyond conventional accessories to become an integral part of a complete fashion expression.

côte&ciel in Malaysia

The MBFWKL 2026 runway feature marks another step in côte&ciel’s growing presence in Malaysia. The brand is now officially available locally, with its collection available online exclusively at coteetciel.my.

Continuing its local expansion, côte&ciel will also launch its first official Malaysian pop-up store at The Exchange TRX in October 2026. The pop-up will offer visitors an opportunity to experience the brand’s architectural carrying goods and design philosophy in person.
